Writing Contests
Stellanova Osborn Poetry Contest
- Open to any student at LSSU.
- Submit up to three poems. Each poem must have a title. All entries must be submitted in triplicate (3 copies) and bear only the author’s student number and address on the top left-hand corner of the first page. Poems must be typed (printed), paginated, and single sided.
- No restrictions on subject or style.
- Each entry must be submitted on white, 8-1/2 X 11 paper in an envelope bearing the author’s name, student number, address, and the title(s) of the work enclosed.
- Deliver entries to College of Arts, Letters, and Social Sciences secretary in Library 304 by 2pm on Friday, March 24, 2006.Prizes :
- 1st - $50.00
- 2nd - $30.00
- 3rd - $20.00
- Honorable Mention (2) - $10.00
- The judges reserve the right not to award any prizes.
- Winning entries will be announced by Monday, April 3, 2006. There will be a reception honoring the winners, all contest participants, their guests, and any friends of literature. Time and place of the reception will be noted in the announcement of the winning entries.
