About Allan Case...

Allan has been working in the LSSU Admissions Office since 2002, but has been with LSSU since 1997 in a variety of roles from student to staff and adjunct faculty member.  Born in Manila, Philippines, Allan and his family moved to Chula Vista, California while he was still very young.  After spending some years in the San Diego suburb, his family moved to Charlevoix, MI, a place he considers his hometown.  Upon completing high school, Allan attended LSSU where he earned a B.A. in English Language and Literature.  He has also earned an M.A. in Education from Michigan State University and a Spanish Language Ceritificate from the Universidad Internacional in Cuernavaca, Mexico.

Allan primarily works with international students, student-athletes, and students from the Eastern Upper Penninsula, but is happy to assist any student in need.  Whether your ambitions are to compete in the classroom, on the playing field, or in the global marketplace, Allan can help you with your transition to LSSU so that you can achieve your goals.

Allan will be visiting schools throughout the EUP this fall.  Check out his Fall 2009 Travel Schedule for details!

"Lake Superior State is the only robotics program of its kind in the country. I can work up any research or senior project idea with a professor or my advisor. I studied for a year in Japan through LSSU's connection with the Japan Center for Michigan Universities, and became fluent in Japanese. A Japanese company called Fanuc makes most of the robots in our lab. I'd like to roll my senior research project into a career with Fanuc that bridges the two countries and cultures."
