Honors program inducation ceremony
Highly motivated students at LSSU have the opportunity to develop their
abilities and skills in the University Honors Program. The program seeks to create a community of scholars characterized by strong student and faculty
interaction around an abundance of ideas.
Honors students get priority in scheduling, additional advising, their own hall for housing, membership in the honors student organization, and Alpha Chi National Honors Society. When you graduate as an honors student, your course transcripts and diploma will reflect the designation and you will be recognized during the commencement and academic awards ceremonies.
Honor students are invited to become members by a preselection process that requires a composite ACT score of 27 and one of the following:

Political Science ...
"The study of political science/law is basically the path of least resistance for me. It is a subject that has always interested me, and one that I have proved to be naturally insightful in. Studying political science isn’t just the study of how governments function or how it is composed, but the study of why it exists and to what ends. In short, it is the study of what makes everything else possible."
