Our size — nearing 3500 students — means you get to learn in small classes, 70 percent have fewer than 30 people. This environment is similar to what you’ll find at a private school. Most students need help to pay for college. At Lake State, 75 percent of our students receive some form of scholarship or financial aid. Lake Superior State University offers a full range of federal and state grants, workstudy opportunities and loans, as well as generous scholarships based on academic achievement, financial need or both.
