This program examines the many factors that influence religion in Africa,
paying particular attention to the relationship between humans and God, and
how traditional African religions, Islam, and Christianity coexist and
influence each other. It also explores the extent to which Christianity and
Islam are becoming Africanized, examining their impact of African life in
such areas as language, law, and learning.
