Examines how events in space may have influenced the origin and evolution
of Earth. The documentary also compares Earth's climate, shape and
movement with other planets. Venus's atmosphere, for example is charged
with poisonous clouds, acid rain, fierce winds and 900-degree heat. Mars'
surface reveals a violently unstable past, best illustrated by a mammoth
two-mile-deep gash across its equator.
