WHY DO BIRDS SING?
Birds that reportedly chirp in regional dialects are among the
specimens studied in "Why Do Birds Sing?" Ornithologists explain
that birds sing to attract mates, proclaim territorial rights and
warn other birds of impending danger. Some species even learn
tunes passed down from the parent to offspring.
