This program takes us from the early music of the Eastern churches to the
establishment of music as a central part of the Christian liturgy.
We hear the contributions of Pope Gregory and the first composer
for the Church, discover the contributions of Notre-Dame de Paris
and other religious centers and observe the birth of the formal
secular song.
