Title: SELLING OF TERRI GIBBS
Movie ID: VT2808
Movie Number: 2808
Description: Terri Gibbs' story is like a fairy tale. In a few months she rose from a streak-and-ale singer to a nationally-known country/pop recording artist. Her bluesy single "Somebodys Knockin'" sold one million copies, the album about one-half million. Whether Terri Gibbs could stay at the top of the charts depended on whether she could produce "crossover" country music: songs that appealed to both the country audience and to the pop audience.

Applegate says his favorite exercise was the live fire flashover simulation. "We saw how fires evolved as they burned," he says. "It’s as close as you can get to the real thing."
