THEATRE OF THE ABSURD PIRANDELLO: SIX CHARACTERS IN SEARCH..
Brings to vivid light the struggle to define reality which characterizes the
playwright's work. In Pirandello's view, man assumes reality in accordance
with the role he plays; thus all roles are disguises and life is an endless
comedy of illusion. This performance of large sections of Six Characters
makes perfect sense out of a sometimes confusing plot, as the distinguishing
line between acting and being continually vanishes and reappears.
