Awards:

Recently awarded an NSF grant to purchase an ABI 310 Genetic Analyzer. The equipment will be used to train students in DNA fragment analysis for population genetics and DNA fingerprinting as well as DNA sequencing.

Visual ecology of fishes: Predator-prey interaction between zooplankton and fish; Visual sensory physiology; Retinal development of teleost fish.
