Transition from the current Blackboard CE8
to Blackboard Learn 9.1
LSSU has used the current version of Blackboard since January 2009. The company is phasing out this version of their product, and requiring users to upgrade to Blackboard Learn by December 2012. We want this change to be smooth and painless as possible to all our users, please visit this site for futher updates.
Timeline
Summer 2012: Faculty and staff can participate in the Blackboard Learn 9.1 Pilot Program. As part of this pilot program, you will have access to a test course that you can use to explore the new Blackboard envirnoment. Send an email to blackboard@lssu.edu if you wish to participate in this program.
Fall 2012: The system will be made available for users to test and to get familiar with. All course will continue to be taught through the current Blackboard CE8 system.
Spring 2013: All courses taught through Blackboard Learn 9.1.
