Information, including GIS maps, are available on the world wide web, and there is a convenient point of contact via telephone and email for the community. A BPAC flier and Resource Office flier are available to the public. The students have also put together a PowerPoint Presentation concerning the St. Marys River Area of Concern, available for viewing online here or may be obtained in CD-ROM format upon request from the Resource Office.
The Resource Office has also established an Annual Environmental Summit sponsored by BPAC that brings together local agencies, non-profit groups, and school organizations to discuss the current events of the St. Marys River Area of Concern. Alliances can be made and concerns voiced at the gathering, which is held on the campus of Lake Superior State University one night during the month of September.
One of the many jobs of the Resource Office is to maintain a database of materials available for use by the public. This database contains information regarding materials related to the St. Marys River Area of Concern, other AoC sites, and the Great Lakes. The database is currently being updated and will be available for online viewing soon.
