The Spirit of Harriet Tubman -- Free for LSSU students/employees

7:30 PM until 9:00 PM

Organization: Arts Center

Description: A play written and performed by Leslie McCurdy. On a barren stage with only a trunk of costumes, "The Spirit of Harriet Tubman" uses Harriet's own words in telling the story of her life from her earliest experiences as a slave, through her work on the underground railroad, to her continued commitment to others in her later years. Peformed by Leslie McCurdy, "The Spirit of Harriet Tubman" has been thrilling audiences of all ages across North America for 10 years. This powerful portrayal of Tubman's life has been called exceptional, amazing, compelling and brilliantly conceived. It is an inspiring, must-see performance for the whole family. Tickets $10 for general public.

Location: Arts Center Auditorium
