Students in communication studies and those who are interested in this field of study are invited to this informational meeting. This meeting is important for those who are communication majors and those pursuing minors in professional communication, communication, public relations, speech and drama. This is an opportunity for students to get to know communication studies professors, including LSSU alumna and new faculty Katey Price. Price, who is completing her PhD in communication at Ohio State, started teaching at LSSU in January. She will be introduced at the meeting and will talk a little bit about her research. Other topics to be discussed include program advising, the Honors Program, class rotations and club activities. There will be pizza!
Featured speaker Adil Shafi of Advenovation Inc., Rochester, Mich. will cover topics ranging from becoming an entrepreneur, business plans, sales and marketing, product/service planning, and working with teams. There will be two different lecture sessions each night: 6-7 p.m. and 7:30-8:30 p.m. Series is free and open to the public. Shafi will be available on Feb. 5.
