The LSSU chapter of Students for Concealed Carry invites everyone interested to a meeting with the National Rifle Association's "NRA University" program. Anyone who attends gets a free one-year membership to the NRA plus NRA gear. Michigan NRA Institution for Legislative Action and NRA-U representative Tony Cutler will be speaking during this two-hour training seminar for college students interested in learning more about NRA, the Second Amendment, gun safety, legislative threats to gun rights and the gun control debate.

The public is invited when Michigan's 107th District House candidates Frank Foster, R-Petoskey, and Suzanne Shumway, D-Petoskey, hold a debate on campus sponsored by LSSU's Political Science Club. The 107th District of the Michigan House of Representatives includes Chippewa, Mackinac and Emmet counties, plus part of Cheboygan County.
