Learning Center Tutoring Week: Cake Day

8:00 AM until 9:00 PM

Help the Learning Center celebrate and recognize our tutors, supplemental instruction leaders, structured learning assistance leaders, Writing Center coaches, Math Center leaders, mentors, student managers and receptionists during Tutoring Week, Oct. 6-11.

There will be activities going on all week in the Learning Center, located in the lower level of the Shouldice Library, room 112.

Activities include:
- Send a thank you note to your favorite tutor, writing or math center coach or SI/SLA leader. Let them know how much you appreciate their help! Blank cards are available for you to use in the Learning Center, or you can sign the white board in the main room.
- The Writing Center is sponsoring the "50-Word Fiction" writing contest. The challenge is a whole story, a whole moment, communicated in 50 words only; so, words must be chose carefully and the title counts! The contest is open to everyone. Bring your entries to the Learning Center by noon on Friday.
- What is a tree of knowledge and how does it grow? Stop by the Learning Center and watch as our tree turns into a colorful autumn collection of inspiring ideas to be a successful Laker.
- Win a prize through random student sign-ins at the Learning Center! Contests go all week long.
