Research Interests and Opportunities

My current research is focused on the environmental chemistry of the St. Marys River ecosystem. The St. Mary's River is listed as an Area of Concern by the U.S. EPA. Grants are currently funding research to investigate the metals content in sediments and water samples collected from the river and the surrounding watershed area.

Other active areas of research include investigations into novel processes for removing arsenic from drinking water in small public systems.
