Research Interests and
Opportunities
My current research is focused on freshwater cyanobacteria
and their toxins. Freshwater cyanobacteria and their toxins
are on the USEPA Contaminant Candidate List (CCL). Contracts
and grants are currently funding research to determine the
occurrence of algal toxins in source and distribution drinking
waters. Other active areas of research include investigations
into novel processes for removing arsenic from drinking water
in small public systems.
