When you check the list, verify that both your name AND your degree(s) are correct.

Remember: our cap and gown colors have changed this year. You will need to go to Barnes & Noble at LSSU for your attire.
Commencement Dates & Times
Practice will be begin at Noon on Friday, May 1, in the Bud Cooper Gym where you will pick up your name card. There are typically six lines of graduates that depart from the Cooper Gym to the Taffy Abel Arena. Look for the line that includes your number and pick up your name card. If you think there may be any chance of mispronouncing your name, please provide a phonetic pronounciation. Note: the honor (e.g. cum laude) on your name card is determined by your GPA at the end of the Fall 2008 semester.
Commencement exercises are on Saturday, May 2. Please arrive between 10-10:30 a.m. Commencement will begin promptly at 11 a.m. The ceremony lasts approximately 2 hours. Please note that seats cannot be saved - it is first come, first seated. Parents are asked to wait until their graduate is in line for the stage to come forward to take a photo to avoid congestion.

Procession: If your order of march number is between 1-266, you will be seated on the east side of the arena. Numbers 267-509 will be on the west side of the arena. Golden Grads will also be on the west side in the front row.
GradTrak® by Graduation Images will be on site taking photos of each graduate as he/she crosses the platform. Photos will available through their Web site at www.gradimages.com. They are offering a $5 discount on any commencement photo order over $25 if you register your email address prior to graduation.
