Alum Success

"The small student to faculty ratio was a real benefit in my preparation towards my teaching career. It enabled me to get to know my professors well and come to them for help with anything I needed."

Degree Audits

The academic programs are continually reviewed and may change to reflect changing Michigan standards. You need to follow the audit plan based on the timeframe in which you were admitted, or declared a major change to this program. For example, if you first attend the university in the fall of 2005 as a chemistry major you would follow an audit from that time, not the summer 2006 audit. However, if you change to biology in October 2006 you would then follow the fall 2006 biology audit, not the earlier versions even though you first entered the university in 2005. Academic departments are asked to provide copies of audit sheets in order to keep this page current, in order to permit the school of education to provide an archival site for audits necessary to assist current students complete their academic programs.

General Information

  • Plan out your classes with a blank schedule .PDF format.
  • Math & other prerequisites: Answers the question of what math class is needed for what other required math classes or science classes.  Download our Prerequisite FlowChart .PDF format. Effective with fall 2008, MATH102 or MATH207 will become admission requirements to EDUC301 or higher.
  • CSCI101 Introduction to Computer Science was removed as a requirement effective for all students admitted to LSSU School of Education on or after August 25, 2009.  Current students will have the CSCI 101 requirement waived as part of the existing degree audits for qualified students.  Degree audits effective for the fall 2009 will reflect the removal of the CSCI101 requirement.
