Mini Baja Senior Project

Two senior project teams collaborated to design and build an off-road vehicle for the SAE Midwest Regional competition in June 2007.

The project was broken into two main tasks: drivetrain and chassis. Design constraints, team management, budgetary limitations, and work place procedures are all components of the project process.

Superior Drivetrain Solutions (SDS) handled the drivetrain responsibilities while its sister team, Twisted Off Road Chassis (TORC), was reponsible for the chassis.

To ensure durability of the vehicle, all analyses will be based on demanding off-road conditions.

Click to read about the competition results and the remembrance of Sven Heikkinen, a driving force behind the team.
