
Am currently developing expertise in OS/2, DB2 for OS/2, and miscellaneous software on the AS400. At Provident designed and taught courses in a state-of-the-art mainframe environment. Courses included DB2, IDMS/R, TELON, Assembler, Database Design, TELON and DB2 Interfacing, QMF, Structured Analysis and Design, Prototyping, and Structured COBOL Workshop. Passed the LOMA (Life Office Management Association) exams 1987, FLMI (Fellow, Life Management Institute), ACM, AM, and DPMA Member. Taught computer classes to 5th, 6th, and 7th grade gifted children through Indiana University Southeast's Project Ahead program (approximately sixteen contact hours per semester). Taught in Continuing Education program at IUS. Topics include Computers for Kids, Database Management (restricted to handicapped adults), How to Publish a Book, Introduction to QMF and DB2 Programming, Navigating the Internet, Computers for Adults, Paradox, Lotus 1-2-3, Wordperfect, Internet for Kids, Computers for the Computer Illiterate, Computers for Senior Citizens, others. Industrial trainer. Trained employees of medium-size corporation on use of PCs and associated software (Lotus, Wordperfect, Paradox, Powersoft, Office, Windows 95, Visual Basic, SQL, others). Taught course in use of specialized software including cost aalysis, project management, scheduling, and various accounting packages (general ledger, inventory control, accounts payable and receivable).
