BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Finley came to Lake Superior State University to head up the newly-established College of Business & Engineering in January 2012. He brought with him a unique blend of business and engineering from 11 years at Trine University in Angola, Ind. where he was vice president of Academic Affairs. His tenure also included serving as dean of the Allen School of Engineering and Technology and interim dean for the Ketner School of Business and Jannen School of Arts and Sciences.

One of his research interests lies in entrepreneurship which allows for the transition between engineering and business that encompasses the School of Engineering & Technology's Product Development Center (PDC) and the School of Business' entrepreneurship and marketing degrees. The College and the PDC also have ties with the Sault SmartZone which is a collaborative effort with the local and state EDC agencies. Dr. Finley is also a member of the Rotary Club of Sault Ste.
