The Royal Guardsmen

Hello and thank you for your interest in the Royal Guardsmen.

It has come to our attention that many fans have been inquiring into the status of the Royal Guardsmen members. We hope that this will answer some of your questions.

The band members appreciate your support for the Royal Guardsmen and the saga of Snoopy. The Royal Guardsmen have a saga of their own and depending on which member you ask, you may encounter different stories, but there is common ground. The original members have a sound that is uniquely their own and though they have worked with different combinations of original band members, the end result is obvious to all. The Royal Guardsmen sound is from the total talent of the members and not just one or two attributes.  At this time, another combination of Royal Guardsmen members is currently working with an agency to perform for the fans. Although the touring band does not include all of the original members, the representation is well accepted with the performance of the original recordings. If you wish to engage the touring members, please contact them through their agency.

Two of the original members that are not in agreement with the agency's contract and direction are Barry Winslow (lead vocals for the Snoopy songs) and John Burdett (drummer).  Barry and John wish the best with the contractual agreement of the other members and hope to reunite with them in a few years.

During the contractual wait, Barry and John are in good spirits and collaborating on various projects. Barry is continuing with his Christian music and John is providing free recording time for underprivileged talent. Working in tandem, Barry and John have some advertising accounts as well as another children's album project that was a success for Barry a few years ago. Who knows, Barry and John may write another Snoopy song.
