Attention Students Leaving LSSU:

If you have Subsidized or Unsubsidized Federal Loans, Perkins Loans, or Nursing Loans

AND are:

• graduating
• transferring to another school
• leaving LSSU not returning for Fall semester

you must complete an “exit session”.  This is a federal requirement.  The session will provide you with valuable information regarding loan repayment, responsibilities, and options.

Be prepared by bringing complete addresses and phone numbers of three references.   The references can not live at the same residence.

Tuesday, April 19, 2011
Crawford Hall, Room 204        
2:30 p.m.

Wednesday, April 20, 2011
Crawford Hall, Room 205        
3:00 p.m.

For those unable to attend the group session, you may go on-line at www.studentloans.gov.   This will fulfill the requirement for only the Subsidized and Unsubsidized Loans.  See Ashely DeMaestri in the Business Office (ext. 2592) to complete the required paperwork for the Nursing or Perkins loans.

NOTE: Consolidation of Federal Student Loans through a private loan company will convert the federal student loans to private loans and lose all military student loan repayment availability.
