Native American Tuition Waiver
Eligibility Standards:
Must have a minimum of ¼ Native American blood quantum as evidenced by a current certification from the Inter-Tribal Council.
Must demonstrate Michigan residency for twelve months prior to the first day of the starting semester.
Must be admitted to the University in a degree program. Non-degree programs do not qualify for the waiver. Guest students may qualify if admitted accordingly.
Alternative Loans
Alternative loans are available for the cost of tuition and books. If additional funds are needed for living expenses, Director approval is required.
"Lake Superior State is the only robotics program of its kind in the country. I can work up any research or senior project idea with a professor or my advisor. I studied for a year in Japan through LSSU's connection with the Japan Center for Michigan Universities, and became fluent in Japanese. A Japanese company called Fanuc makes most of the robots in our lab. I'd like to roll my senior research project into a career with Fanuc that bridges the two countries and cultures."
