Available financial aid for Guest Students:

Native American Tuition Waiver

Eligibility Standards:

1. Must have a minimum of ¼ Native American blood quantum as evidenced by a current certification from the Inter-Tribal Council.
2. Must demonstrate Michigan residency for twelve months prior to the first day of the starting semester.
3. Must be admitted to the University in a degree program.  Non-degree programs do not qualify for the waiver.  Guest students may qualify if admitted accordingly.

Alternative Loans

1. Alternative loans are available for the cost of tuition and books. If additional funds are needed for living expenses, Director approval is required.
2. Go to www.lssu.edu/finaid/alternative loans for a list of preferred alternative loan programs.
