NEW and TRANSFER student eligibility review will include high school GPA, ACT/SAT Scores and prior college GPA and will be contingent upon successful completion of fall semester 2011.
Full-time enrollment is required for these scholarships; exceptions noted on individual descriptions.
Students who are currently attending without any LSSU scholarships will be given first consideration for all awards less than $1000.
Scholarships of $1000 or greater value per year may replace a current LSSU scholarship of lesser value. In some cases, the new scholarship may be awarded in addition to a current LSSU scholarship. Determination will be made on a case-by-case basis upon review by the director.
LSSU policy prohibits the award of LSSU scholarship funds beyond the cost of tuition, except for Room and Board specific scholarships. Note: Current tuition-specific aid may be reduced or cause some other adjustments to your aid package, based on the requirements of each form of aid.
Full tuition scholarships are awarded for 12-17 credits per semester and do NOT include any special course fees, program fees, media fees or any related fees. Full tuition scholarships can not be awarded to students who receive waivers of tuition.
Renewable scholarships will not exceed four years or 124 earned credits. Students must maintain full time status to continue a renewable scholarship, while meeting renewal criteria.
Scholarships offered to students only in specific majors will be withdrawn if the student changes majors or fails to earn credits toward the appropriate major.
