15th Annual Christina Comito Golf Outing

July 30, 2010

Join friends for the 15th Annual Christina Comito Golf Outing July 30, Selfridge Golf Course on the Selfridge Air National Guard Base, Mt. Clemens, Michigan.

The outing will begin at 9:00 am. Coffee and rolls will be served at registration. Golf will be an 18 hole, 4 person scramble with a shotgun start followed by a buffet lunch at approximately 1:30 p.m.  The day’s events will also feature a 50/50 drawing and a closest to the pin contest!

Participation for the golf outing is $85.00, if paid by July 23, $90.00 if paid after. Since this is a military base, the golfer list needs to be submitted to Security at least the day before golf. It is getting more difficult to add to the list on the day of golf. Remember, it's not too late to be a sponsor of this amazing event. For just $120.00 you can sponsor a hole

To register, use the entry form available here (pdf). Simply print, fill out and mail the form.

Proceeds from the golf outing support the Scholarship Program at Regina High School and an Endowment Fund at LSSU.  Proceeds from the endowment fund at Lake Superior State University are split between the Women’s Basketball Team and the School of Exercise Science. This is an excellent reason for us to gather and celebrate the 15th year of the scramble. So contact that college room-mate or friend you haven’t talked to in years and meet them in Mt. Clemens.

Fire Science with Honors...

SavannahSue Rondeau Fire Science

"I love the fast pace environment, the people in the profession, and the adrenaline rush of running into a burning building or saving someone’s life," she says. Rondeau chose Lake Superior State University because it offers the first accredited four-year fire science degree in the United States. She also jumped at the challenge of LSSU's Honors program, which requires her to complete 21 Honors credits, including 10 credits for an Honors seminar/thesis project. [ more ]
