Special Benefits for Giving in Michigan

Below lists out the benefit for Michigan taxpayers for giving to LSSU: The State of Michigan also allows special tax treatment for contributions to LSSU from state residents and corporations.

The credit is equal to the lowest of:

    1. 50 percent of the contribution; or
    2. $100 ($200 for married persons filing jointly); or
    3. 20 percent of the tax liability for the year
