The experience, and his graduate work in marketing that followed, prepared Denker for his position with a company that oversees $18 billion in business and 38,000 employees. Denker assumed responsibility for Penske Corporation's marketing and communications functions after joining the company in 2005. This includes Penske Automotive Group’s 314 premium branded automotive dealerships and its exclusive distribution agreement for the United States smart car network.

Edward family gift supports Laker hockey

Wayne Edward

The family of two brothers who grew up in Sault Ste. Marie and were long-time supporters of hockey at Lake Superior State University have set up an endowed fund to help support the program's operations.

The Ray M. and Wayne M. Edward Hockey Endowment was created with a gift from Diane (Edward) Barnes of East Lansing, Mich., and her sister, Barbara (Edward) Dery of Greensboro, N.C. Both are daughters of Wayne and Kay Edward and nieces of Ray.

The Edward brothers, who spent their childhoods in Sault Ste. Marie, Mich., are descendants of a prominent family associated with the construction of the original Soo Locks. Despite careers that took them away from the area, their roots and boyhood memories endured the passage of time. Full Story
