Students Without Insurance
Lake Superior State University has created a student health plan for our un-insured students who maintain three or more credit hours. This student health plan covers services for our un-insured students. Well physicals and immunizations are excluded from this plan, but are offered at a reduced rate to the student. The student health plan has been established so students do not have an out-of-pocket expense. To utilize the student health plan services must be rendered at the Health Care Center.
Students who do not have health insurance may contact the Health Care Center to discuss insurance plan options. One option available for purchase is an accident and sickness plan through Student Assurance Services (this is separate from the on campus student health plan.) Lake Superior State University does not endorse this plan but simply makes it available to the student. Information regarding this plan is available at the Health Care Center or refer to the following web site: www.sas-mn.com. |
