Current Students: How to Apply
Students with the following GPAs are encouraged to apply for the Honors Program:
Freshmen: 3.3 or above
Sophomores: 3.4 or above
Juniors: 3.5 or above
The reasoning behind the sliding scale GPAs for current students is that those who are closer to graduation will have less opportunity, statistically, to increase their GPAs to the 3.5 requirement for the honors degree. In addition, students closer to graduation will have less opportunity to fit in the 21 honors credits necessary for the honors degree. Any interested student close to the GPA parameters should make an appointment with the Honors Director to tailor a plan. Students entering later than freshman year have had great success in the program.
Geoff works as a paramedic for Kinross EMS. During holidays and school breaks he works in the Detroit metro area for Medic One Ambulance and Hart Medical EMS as a paramedic for both agencies. [ more ]
