Living Areas

The village is comprised of four "towers" with nine rooms each, for a total of 288 beds. The towers are named after Alberst Senter, Ernest Kemp, Stephen Youngs and Raymon Chelberg, all charter faculty members of LSSU.

Typical Room

Each bedroom is designed for double occupancy, with up to eight residents per unit. It is co-ed by unit and has 36 suites consisting of four bedrooms, a commons area and a bathroom.

Visitation and Alcohol Policy

  • 24-hour visitation is permitted among residents within their own hall.
  • 24-hour visitation is permitted among nonresident guests within a limited length of stay.
  • Alcohol is not permitted in the Student Village


The Student Village is staffed by four Resident Advisors (RAs). The staff's main goals are to provide the residents with valuable information, create a positive community through educational programming, maintain a safe and high-quality living environment and serve as a resource whenever a student has a question or concern. The Area Coordinator (AC) office is located in the Campus Life Office, Cisler 125.
