Title: Admissions Advisor-Technical Operations
Function and Responsibility
Reports to Director of Admissions. Coordinates technical operations for admissions office involving data transfer needs, letter generation, transfer credit evaluation processing, e-mail mailings, report writing, etc. Provides critical support and assistance extracting and scrubbing information from our databases for mailings, reports and recruiting needs.
Duties and Responsibilities
Provide technical support for all Admissions operations. Develop and execute technical portions of Communication plans. Develop and execute communications, letter and electronic, for ad hoc correspondence. Prepare weekly and daily reports as necessary for all Admissions staff and academic departments (admitted students, inquiries). Conduct Business Intelligence Analysis as required to support Admissions objectives and goals. Provide support with Admissions web pages (updates, revisions, etc); provide support with On-line application process and other on-line activities. Database administration for Prospects (both Banner and Non-Banner tables) and for Applicants (Banner), ensuring data integrity, work process flow, and accurate data conversion. Conduct Quality Functions as related to Admission technical processes (data input, validation table changes, process streamlining and training). Conduct training as required to Students and Staff in technical systems and processes. Build and maintain Banner Self Service for Prospects and Admissions.
Bachelor’s degree recommended. Strong computer skills, knowledgeable with software programs such as MS suite, SPSS helpful. Knowledge of Banner highly desirable. Able to work with databases to process mailings and reports. Organizational skills and strong communication skills required.
Physical and Mental Demands
Adequate physical fitness to be able to sit and concentrate for long periods of time; use gross motor skills to perform organizational duties; use of fine motor skills to operate computer; problem solving ability; ability to understand and work with numbers; ability to see, hear, speak with or without the use of aids to perform normal office tasks. Full use of arms, hands, legs and feet as required for completion of assigned tasks. Ability to individually lift up to 50 pounds
