Title: Student Activity Center/Pool Student Supervisor
Function and Responsibility
Under direction of the Facility Director, schedule lifeguards and swim instructors, ensure certifications and professionalism of all staff, promote and develop programs, ensure cleanliness of pool area.
Duties and Responsibilities
Schedule student lifeguards.
Ensure that student lifeguards:
• Check that all people entering and using the facility have a membership.
• Have shifts covered.
• Monitor the use of the Pool to prevent theft and vandalism to facility and equipment.
• Do lane set ups when needed.
• Schedule activities and take reservation requests.
• Clean pool area and equipment daily for upkeep.
• Keep areas clean and free of obstacles.
• Concentrate on positive customer service for all patrons.

High School diploma or equivalent. Current pool certifications(WSI, Lifeguarding Instructor) and knowledge. Ability to work with staff and student workers. Must be firm when restricting access to the facility for non members and must be able to enforce the facility rules at all times.
Physical and Mental Demands
Adequate health and fitness to maintain a busy schedule, use of motor skills and mental ability to maintain and track a variety of concurrent schedules, use of gross motor skills to perform supervisory and organizational duties, use of fine motor skills to operate computer, problem solving ability, ability to understand and work with numbers; ability to see, hear, and speak with or without the use of aids to maintain contact with the University community and the publics. Be able to balance multiple schedules. Be able to lift 25lbs.
