Title: Food Service Supervisor
Function and Responsibility
To assist Food Service Manager in ensuring the smooth operation of the customer serving area by performing a variety of duties for the set-up, delivery and serving of food.
Managers and Director of Food Services; occasionally may receive direction from workers in higher levels in classification series.
Students, part-time employees and occasionally temporary employees.
Duties and Responsibilities
Provide highest quality of service to customers at all times. Interact with customers when delivering food products, assist customer with any needs related to service.

Set-up stations with breads, condiments and utensils; serve and replenish food from counters and steam tables and breakdown stations at the end of meal periods following verbal warning or written instructions; brew coffee and tea, lift and move supplies, equipment, furniture and food.

Provide direction, training and discipline to other food service workers, including students.

Clean and sanitize work stations, counters, steam tables and other equipment; assist in dishroom operations and follow all University and regulatory rules and procedures.

Perform related duties as assigned.
Graduation from high school; six months experience in food preparation or service; ability to follow written and oral directions; adequate health and physical condition to handle heavy manual tasks; sufficient use of all limbs to accomplish assigned tasks; ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 lbs. on a daily basis.
