Competing Nationally
Brian Mahoney-Wilson is a hockey player, a goaltender, from Boston. His uncle is Ron Wilson, head coach of the San Jose Sharks of the NHL, and his father, Randy, also played the game at a high level. Brian was recruited to LSSU to play hockey, but he couldn’t be happier with his decision to be a Laker.
“Lake Superior State caught my eye initially because it is a small campus in a small town and the Lakers have a great hockey tradition,” he said. “This is a friendly campus and the support for hockey is incredible.”
“The faculty is top notch,” he said. “Classes are great. I’m an exercise science major and the support from professors is tremendous. No class is easy but I have a strong work ethic and good time-management skills, so it is not a problem for me to read 250 pages in a weekend and get multiple tasks completed.”
