Travel to and at MIPSA 2012
Finding Sault Ste. Marie, the Holiday Inn Express, and LSSU couldn’t be easier. To travel to Sault Ste. Marie from anywhere in Michigan, find Interstate 75. Take I-75 north to the last exit before the bridge to Canada (exit 394, for Easterday Ave.). At the end of the exit ramp, turn right.
The first street to the right after turning onto Easterday (immediately after leaving the ramp), is Riverview Way, just down from the hotel. You will see the hotel about half-a-block up the street.
If you continue on Easterday, you are driving through the university. At the first light (less than three blocks), turn left into the campus’s main entrance. The Walker Cisler Student and Conference Center will be one block ahead, directly in front of you. The Cisler Center overlooks the St. Mary’s River and the hills of Canada.
Some driving distances to Sault Ste. Marie:
Detroit 346
Grand Rapids 278
Lansing 286
Marquette 166
Traverse City 159
Delta has two flights from Detroit Metro into and out of Chippewa County Airport (CIU) per day. The airport is 20 miles south of Sault Ste. Marie.
