FAQ

Q - What if I fall?
A - Each climber will have a belayer on the other end of the rope. Through the belay system, you are provided with a support system which, if you fall, will keep you from hitting the ground.

Q - How hard is it to climb?
A - The LSSU Rock Wall has a variety of different courses, each with a different difficulty. For all climbers, there are courses labeled in color by degree of difficulty. Green being the easiest, and Red being the hardest. Your instructor/belayer will know the degree of difficulty of each course, and will be able to assist you in making the proper choice as to what course fits your skill level.

Q - What equipment is there available for use?
A - The rockwall provides as an option to all climbers a helmet, climbing harness, and climbing shoes. If the climber chooses not to climb with a helmet, a secondary helmet waiver must be signed before climbing the wall.

Q - How sanitary is the equipment and the rock wall?
A - The rockwall equipment is cleaned after every use by a variety of disinfectants. This allows all equipment to be clean for the next person to use.

Q - How often do the routes change?
A - The routes on the rockwall are usually changed every 6-8 months. This allows for returning climbers to have a variety of experiences while using the LSSU Rock Wall.
