The nursing program at LSSU offers a challenging and rewarding program of study that reflects the standards of professional nursing. This program will prepare you to make judgments and carry out nursing care based on critical thinking and research based knowledge to facilitate disease prevention, health promotion, health maintenance, health restoration and rehabilitation.

Our faculty have one common mission and that is to graduate outstanding students who are ready and able to provide professional nursing services using theory and evidence based practice.

BSN: Clinical Portion of the Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing program

NEW!! Application for admission to the BSN clinical portion of the program will be available at the beginning of the 2nd week of each semester; subsequently closing the application periods on MAY 10thfor the fall cohort and DECEMBER 10th for the spring cohort. Please follow the link above to download the application!

** Students who have either completed the 9 required pre-nursing courses or are currently finishing them and have earned a minimum of a 2.7 GPA, are eligible to apply. Transfer students are welcome to apply!

PN: Practical Nursing Program (Associate's in Health Care Provider and/or Practical Nursing Certificate)

RN to BSN Completion: For practicing RNs returning to school to earn a BSN (offered when cohort is filled)
