It's close connection to nature and the outdoors, and the fact that it experiences all four seasons (although winter does dominate unfortunately..).
Best thing about going to school in Sault Ste. Marie:
The small-town atmosphere. Even though it's not really a small town, there is the same closeness and you start to recognize faces as you walk downtown and check out some of the smaller shops.

Don't be afraid to join a group even if you don't know anyone in it. If you're interested check it out - the worst that can happen is that you decide it's not for you, and the best thing that can happen is you love it and make new friends.
