It is the policy of Lake Superior State University not to use federal funds to supplant local funds. Specifically, federal funds received under the Carl D. Perkins Vocational and Applied Technology Education Act of 1990, P.L. 101-392 will be used to supplement, and to the extent practicable, increase the amount of state and local funds that would, in the absence of such federal funds, be made available for the use specified in the Perkins Act, and in no case supplant such state or local funds.
