Audits are designed for individuals who wish to take a particular course for its content but not receive a grade. All LSSU students may register for any course on an audit basis provided all prerequisites have been satisfied.

The coursework for auditing a course is determined in conjunction with the faculty member.

Audited courses do not count as part of a student's official class load for determining financial aid eligibility, veteran's benefits or any other enrollment certification requirements.

Students may change from audit to credit status during the first week of classes and only with the concurrence of the faculty member. The change must be processed through the Registrar's Office for grading purposes.

Students are assessed full tuition and fees for the course and upon course completion an "AU" grade is recorded on the student's official transcript.
