"Students majoring in Business Education take their business classes, computer software classes, and the capstone Business Methods class in the School of Business, Economics, and Legal Studies from faculty experts in various fields. This provides them with both a solid business background and the pedagogy to teach this content at the secondary level. The capstone Business Methods course allows students to integrate their business knowledge with teaching methods to learn to teach business content classes to high school students. The Business Education certification program is very hands-on and helps students develop practical skills they will use on a daily basis as secondary business classroom teachers. The program is approved by the Michigan Department of Education."
