2nd Golden Anchor Banquet
Student Alumni Involved for Lake State (SAILS) honored the faculty and staff who have made the biggest difference in their personal success at Lake State in the last year during the second annual Golden Anchor celebration.
Seventeen members of the group presented anchor lapel pins to their guests of honor at a breakfast on Thursday, March 25, 2004.
Those honored were: Paulette Attie, Ron Schott, Kari Jastorff, Jennifer MacIntyre, Nora Izzard, Randy Suggitt, Kathy Marchand, Charlotte Amaro, Tom Coates, Suzette Olson, Heather Ferguson, Sherry Duesing, Vicki Fox, Robert Money, James Moody, Deb Ryneberg, Drew Ludtke, Holly Johnson and Mark Jastorff.
“One of the things that SAILS believes in is the power of the individual to make a real difference in the life of Lake Superior State University,” said Tiffany Jastorff, chair person for the student ambassador organization. “This is one way for us to say thank you.”
Nicole Craven, a Freeport junior, chaired the event.
SAILS is a student ambassador group that works closely with the Admissions, Alumni, Development, Student Life and President's Offices in support of the University. The groups sponsors more than 70 different events and programs at LSSU including College 101, Admissions tours and Great Lake State Week and Weekend. SAILS is an official chapter of the LSSU Alumni Association and is funded entirely by their own fundraising projects.
