THAT'S RIGHT! Your student could have $4,000 towards their spring semester tuition if they are the lucky winner of the Students Involved for Lake State Tuition Raffle. We present one fortunate LSSU student with $4,000 towards their spring 2012 tuition. Second and third place winners will receive gift certificates from The Barnes & Noble at Lake Superior State University to be used for books and/or school supplies. The drawing is set for January 9, 2012. Tickets are $6 each or 5 for $25, if purchased separately. Proceeds from the raffle help fund events and projects on campus. No purchase is necessary should you choose to enter the contest but not support SAILS.

Laker Welcome Kit
 We are excited that you and your student are becoming members of the LSSU Family. We would like to help make sure that your student gets off on the right foot with a Laker Welcome Kit. The Laker Welcome Kit is sponsored by Student Alumni Involved for Lake State (SAILS). SAILS is the campus student ambassador group that works closely with the Alumni Association, Admissions and others to strengthen our University.
Your welcome kit will include all sorts of fun stuff to celebrate the start of the academic year including:
- A personalized card from home
- LSSU Pencil
- Scantron (for multiple choice tests)
- Hershey’s Hugs & Kisses
- Stress relief toy or game
- Ramen Noodles
- Snack Food
- Highlighter and sticky notes
- Other Stuff!
  The Welcome Kit is $20. You can also add an LSSU Planner and Draw String Bag made especially for this program and exclusively for SAILS! The planner and bag are just an extra $20 ($30 retail value). When the planner, bag and goodies just aren’t enough, you could purchase our complete Welcome package for $55. This package includes the standard welcome kit, the planner, draw string bag, and five tickets for our annual tuition raffle.
