THAT'S RIGHT! Your student could have their tuition paid in full if they are the lucky winner of the Students Involved for Lake State Tuition Raffle. We present one fortunate LSSU student with a semester’s resident tuition and fees – a value of $3,912. Second and third place winners will receive gift certificates from The Campus Shoppe to be used for books and/or school supplies. The drawing is set for January 12, 2009. Tickets are $6 each or 5 for $25, if purchased separately. Proceeds from the raffle help fund events and projects on campus. No purchase is necessary should you choose to enter the contest but not support SAILS.

Laker Welcome Kit

We are excited that you and your student are becoming members of the LSSU Family. We would like to help make sure that your student gets off on the right foot with a Laker Welcome Kit. The Laker Welcome Kit is sponsored by Student Alumni Involved for Lake State (SAILS). SAILS is the campus student ambassador group that works closely with the Alumni Association, Admissions and others to strengthen our University.
Your welcome kit will include all sorts of fun stuff to celebrate the start of the academic year including:
- A personalized card from home
- LSSU Pencil
- Scantron (for multiple choice tests)
- Hershey’s Hugs & Kisses
- Stress relief toy or game
- Ramen Noodles
- Snack Food
- Highlighter and sticky notes
- Other Stuff!
The Welcome Kit is $20. You can also add an LSSU long sleeve tee made especially for this program and exclusively for SAILS! The long sleeve tee is just an extra $20 ($30 retail value). When the long sleeve tee and goodies just aren’t enough, you could purchase our complete Welcome package for $55. This package includes the standard welcome kit, the long sleeve tee, and five tickets for our annual tuition raffle.
