Make an appointment with your academic advisor. You can find out who your academic advisor is by
contacting the Department of your Academic Major.
Print out a On-Line Registration Worksheet to keep track of the Course Registration Numbers (CRN) -see
"Check for available Courses" below. You may also want to print out a Trial Registration Form to
make sure none of your classes have time conflicts. Bring these sheets with you when you meet with your
advisor.

Please note: All students registering in 12 or more credit hours must be currently admitted as
full-time students. Full-time status is considered 12 – 17 credits. Additional tuition is charged for
18 credits and above. No student may register for more than 20 credits without written permission from
their Academic Dean.

Web Services channel click on Anchor Access. From Student and Financial Aid, click on Student Records, click

Meet with your advisor. Consult with your advisor and the LSSU Catalog, which outlines your degree
requirements and includes information about the courses you need. Remember to check for prerequisites.
It is your responsibility to satisfy all stated conditions and prerequisite requirements (or have the
instructor's permission to waive them). Enrollment may be revoked (with an N grade) if ANY of these
conditions have not been met.
If you do not have the proper prerequisites for a course, or the course requires instructor permission,
contact the instructor for the course. The instructor can give you permission to enroll in the course by
going to Anchor Access, Faculty Services, and completing an "override" for you to take the course.
If the instructor is listed as staff, please contact the academic department responsible for the course.
Once the instructor has completed the "override" for a course, you will need to login to My.LSSU from the LSSU Web Services channel
click on Anchor Access, click on Student and Financial Aid, click on Registration, click on Add and Drop
and register for the course.
Once you and your advisor have planned your courses for the upcoming semester, your advisor will remove your
“Web Advisor Hold” allowing you to register on-line as of your on-line registration date.
This takes the place of the Advisor's signature. Please remind your advisor to remove your hold!
