  1. How do I set up a student email account?

  2. If you have been registered for classes at LSSU for more than one day, then your account has already been created. To find your information, go to the Student Account page of the Student Utilities site. You will need your 8-digit Student ID and corresponding 6-digit PIN, which will have been issued to you from the Registrar's Office.

  3. It says that my ID can't be found, but I am enrolled for classes in the fall. Why is my ID not found?

  4. We generally try to keep our database of enrolled students as updated as possible. However, this database is separate from the main enrollment database; Therefore, it only updates each night on weekdays. If you have just enrolled on this day, then you may need to wait until the next weekday to create your account. If you are still unable to create the account, please notify the Information Technology Helpdesk at (906)635-6677 (x6677 on campus).

    If you have just enrolled for classes today, then you may need to wait for the next day to create your account. The student utility database is updated on a nightly basis.

  5. Can I get a student email account if I am not enrolled at LSSU?

  6. Student email is intended for the use of students who are currently enrolled in classes at Lake Superior State University. If you are not enrolled in classes for the current academic year (Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters), then this utility will not allow you to create an account.

  7. Where do I check my student email?

  8. If you have your student email account set up, you can access your email at http://my.lssu.edu.

  9. How do I change my password?

  10. If you have your student email account set up, access your account at http://my.lssu.edu. Once you are logged in, you can change your password by following the "Change my password" in the profile channel of the portal.

  11. I forgot my password. How do I reset it?

  12. You can reset your student email account password by going to the Student Account page of the Student Utilities site. You will need your 8-digit Student ID and corresponding 6-digit PIN. Be sure to select the option for resetting your password.

  13. I forgot my PIN. What do I do?

  14. You will need to go to the Student Services counter in the Fletcher Center in order to have your PIN reset.
