What to Bring
- Linens, Sleeping Bag, Pillow
- Toiletries and Towels
- Swimsuit
- Sunscreen and Bug REpellant
- Casual Clothes for colr, hot or warm weather (U.P. summer temperatures are unpredictable)
- Comfortable shoes
- Raincoat, old cloathing, shoes for outdoor camps
- Spending money for campus bookstore, pizza, snacks, etc.
*We are not responsible for the loss of personal items such as hand held video games, cell phones, laptops, etc.
What will I be doing during summer camp evening recreation if I stay on campus at
LSSU?
Visit the Soo Locks, go out for ice cream, view a show at the
planetarium, play basketball, racquetball, swim and much more at LSSU’s
Athletic Complex. Your evening counselors will have many activities
planned for the week during summer camp. Some activities have a minimal cost to the
camper.
What supervision will there be?
A camp counselor will participate in all activities with the students.
We provide 24 hour supervision to our resident plan students while attending our summer camps.
What if the Summer Camp I sign up for is full?
If the summer camp is full, we will notify you and place your name on a
waiting list. Otherwise, we can help you find another summer camp offering
that may interest you. All money will be refunded if an opening doesn’t become available by the start date for
the summer camp offering you requested.
Is transportation provided from a local airport?
We will provide transportation from the Chippewa County Airport (CIU). Please contact the summer camp office in advance with your flight itinerary.
Is there a charge to stay over for an extra night or weekend if a camper stays for two consecutive weeks?
- $50 fee for a one night stay over
- $100 fee for a weekend stay ove

Code of Conduct / Cancellation Policy
Lake Superior State University and Superior Edventures Summer Camps reserves the right to terminate the stay of any student, without refund, when it is deemed to be in the best interest of either the student or the program.
Full refunds will be issued for any camp cancelled by LSSU because of low enrollment. Refunds will be issued minus the $125 non-refundable deposit for any camp cancelled by a participant two weeks prior to the camp start date the participant is enrolled in.
